I’m sorry but I would like to challenge some of your Black male readers. I am a White female who is engaged to a Black male-good-looking, educated and loving. I just don’t understand a lot of Black female’s attitudes about our relationship.
My man decided he wanted me because the pickings amongst Black women were slim to none. As he said they were too fat, too loud, too mean, too argumentative, too needy, too materialistic or carrying too much excess baggage.
Before I became engaged, whenever I went out I was constantly approached by Black men, willing to wine and dine me and give me the world. If Black women are so up in arms about us being with their men, why don’t they look at themselves and make some changes. I am tired of the dirty looks I get and snide remarks when we’re out in public.
I would like to hear from some Black men about why we are so appealing and coveted by them.
Bryant Gumbel just left his wife of 26 years for one of us. Charles Barkley, Scottie Pippen, the model Tyson Beckford, Montell Williams, Quincy Jones, James Earl Jones, Harry Belafonte, Sydney Poitier, Kofi Anan, Cuba Gooding Jr., Don Cornelius, Berry Gordy, Billy Blanks, Larry Fishburne, Wesley Snipes….I could go on and on. But, right now, I’m a little angry and that is why I wrote this so hurriedly. Don’t be mad with us White women because so many of your men want us. Get your acts together and learn from us and we may lead you to treat your men better. If I’m wrong, Black men, let me know.

I would like to respond to the letter written by Disgusted White Girl. Let me start by saying that I am a 28-year old black man. I graduated from one of the most prestigious universities in Atlanta, Georgia with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Management. I have a good job at a major corporation and have recently purchased a house. So, I consider myself to be among the ranks of successful black men.
I will not use my precious time to slander white people. I just want to set the record straight of why black men date white women. Back in the day, one of the biggest reasons why black men dated white women was because they were considered easy.
The black girls in my neighborhood were raised in the church. They were very strict about when they lost their virginity and who they lost it to. Because of our impatience to wait, brothers would look for someone who would give it up easy without too much hassle. So, they turned to the white girls.
Nowadays, in my opinion, a lot of brothers date white women because they are docile and easy to control. A lot of black men, because of insecurities, fears, and overall weaknesses, have become intimidated by the strength of our black women. We are afraid that our woman will be more successful than us, make more money than us, drive nicer cars and own bigger houses. Because of this fear, many black men look for a more docile woman. Someone we can control.
I have talked to numerous black men and they continuously comment on how easy it is to control and walk over their white women. I just want t set the record straight. I want Disgusted White Girl to know that not all successful black men date white women.
Brothers like Ahmad Rashad, Denzel Washington, Michael Jordan, Morris Chestnut, Will Smith, Blair Underwood, Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, Samuel L. Jackson, and Chris Rock all married strong black women And to flip the script, there are numerous white men, in and out of the spot light who openly or secretly desire black women over white women. Ted Danson, Robert DeNiro, and David Bowie to name a few.
I just don’t want disgusted white girl to be misinformed. Stop thinking that because you are white, that you are some type of goddess.
Remember, when black Egyptian Queens like Hatsepshut and Nitorcris were ruling Dynasties and armies of men in Egypt, you were over in the caves of Europe eating raw meat and beating each other over the head with clubs. Read your history!
It was the black woman who taught you how to cook and season your food. It was the black woman who taught you how to raise your children. It was black women who were breast-feeding and raising your babies during slavery. It is the black woman who had to endure watching their fathers, husbands, and children beaten, killed, and thrown in jail. Black women were born with two strikes against them: Being Black and Being a Woman. And, through all this, Still They Rise!
It is because of the black women’s strength, elegance, power, love and beauty that I could never date anyone except my black Queen. It is not just the outer beauty that captivates and draws me to them. It is not the fact that they come in all shapes, sizes, colors and shades that I love them.
Their inner beauty is what I find most appealing about black women. Their strong spirit, loving and nurturing souls, their integrity, their ability to overcome great obstacles, their willingness to stand for what they believe in, and their determination to succeed and reach their highest potential while enduring great pain and suffering is why I have fallen in love with black women.
I honestly believe that your anger is geared more toward jealousy and envy more so than snotty looks. If this were not so, then why do you continuously go to tanning salons to darken your skin? If you are so proud to be white, then why don’t you just be happy with your pale skin?
Why do you continue to inject your lips, hips, and breasts with unnatural and dangerous substances so you can look fuller and more voluptuous? I think that your anger is really a result of you wanting to have what the black woman has.
Bottom Line: If I were looking for a docile woman, someone I can walk over and control, I would give you a call. But, unfortunately for you, I am looking for a Virtuous Woman. Someone that can be a good wife and mother to my children. Someone who can be my best friend and understands my struggles. I am looking for a soul mate. I am looking for a sister and fortunately, you do not and CANNOT fit the bill.

It only takes one apple to spoil the whole bunch. It's sad that this woman had to make a bad name for white woman. I'm not one to dwell on color. I can't lie I date black men and I do know those looks but I have to say also that I've always envied black woman's strength. I've been walked on by men of both colors. I stay away from white men because they take advantage and feel like they deserve things they don't. Black people as a whole are much humbler and accepting. Proud and strong. I'd rather be a part of a strong womanhood reguardless of color. I've had my feelings I'm sure we all have. I love the way my guy takes care of me, and he listens. Of course there are good and bad in every color. It's always about choosing wisely. This woman makes me ashamed of my color when no one should be. I should be able to be proud too…it's disgusting that she can go on the internet and just makes statements about women she doesn't even know. I think Roseleigh has made some salient point. Truth is, there are good black women, and there are terrible black women 2. And also, vice versa 4 white women. As a black man I av dated both and I must admit that is all boils down 2 having a good heart. I was married 2 a white woman for 2yrs. I lost everything 2 her. She just didn’t want children. Well am happy now,as I av found my feet again.

I was once seeing a younger man who kept saying he wanted to marry a white woman just to impress his friends and people with her here because there are so few of them here and to have mixed race children to impress people with them when they step out of his cars and so on..it was all about appearances and showing off and image and not about love or any other good thing just frivolous and silly ideas of an idiot…he compared them to dogs..you know how a man would buy a dog just to show it off…and impress people..it was all about looks and nothing more..very superficial and vain…

I’m not going to say anything about white women cos I know so few of them but I’m going to tell you something I’ve learnt from my mom, aunts, sisters, cousins and the girls I’ve dated; black ladies are strong beyond your comprehension. They can rise through ordeals that will ordinarily snap a white girl. They have spirits burning with fire and a natural zeal to nuture. Of course there are a few bad eggs and even the good ones have dad sides but which race doesn’t have those? Open your eyes lady. Maybe the reason you’ve never been able to stand any of them is cos you never stop judging them and maybe you have a deep rooted scorn for our black ladies. Free your heart of all hatred and you’ll see the reality of things.

No I don't think it is disgusting for a white woman to go with a black man, however I do think it is 98.08% inappropriate or socially unacceptable subject to cultural upbringing and creed, where I live there have been eight fights, three arrests and two stoning's and one deportation all over black men going with white women, of course I am not jealous I left my white ex fiancee for three reasons, race, creed & cultural compatibility subject to certain cultures with races , you see you can choose any woman in the world however she has to be acceptable not just to the self but to family and creed, there are any amount of mix race relationships and only a few survive, I know quite a few mixed race relationships however none of them in this city where I live have ever survived that I know and all ended in broken home with disillusioned kids, that is a terribly low statistic whenever ever only concerned with white & black opposite sexes , the lack of credence with theology is enough to see their relationship deteriorate subject to the modern ideological racism, choosing not to have a relationship with a white woman or a loose woman is not a sign sexual change from heterosexuality which many white women see it as, wrong , personally I would not consider a white woman and that is subject to common sense, creed, culture and up bringing however I am still drooling over woman who are not white big style, the most fool hardy thing I have ever seen each time is that every time a white woman is fooled into jumping into bed with a completely different man who is black as opposed the the man she set of to get usually fooled by lies ending in black laughter of how stupid white women can be when played by black men , this is often called jungle fever where the white and black opposite sexes keep going at one another regardless of the white or black racial intervention leading to imminent demise of them both, white power factions and nazi's call it a text book sexual fetish, to want sex that much with a white woman or black man that it leads to total dismantling of the home unit or relationship he was in or never involved in with, visits to the Caribbean or Thailand with working girls empties their fetish and leaves them to marry the founder girl back home, which is also wrong. for me I will take the little village girl back home

Am so happy reading all the responses to disgusted white girl’s mail. My black brothers have proven beyond doubt that they are real mean who knows what its like to be with a real woman. Though some of my brothers like Dave have taken on the gospel of liberalization spread by whites to promote promiscuity and erosion of traditional moral up bringing. I think that’s the reason why he will ever consider Black women disgusting. For you white girls who think you have something we can envy, u have got nothing!
